Children with Autism are able to receive ABA Therapy services wherever they live, either in person or virtually, on a schedule that works for the family. Home-based interventions provide opportunities to learn and apply skills in the natural environment. These interventions focus on social communication, cooperation, self-regulation, daily living skills (e.g., eating, potty training, hygiene), play skills, social relationships and safety. Services may also include working with the child and his or her siblings to develop a strong family dynamic.
ABA Therapy services are designed by Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and may be implemented by our Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs). RBTs help with the delivery of services and the collection of data, which is then reviewed and evaluated by the BCBA who then modifies programming. Programming is research-driven and socially significant, meaning it is designed to be as applicable to their real lives as possible.
To best understand the needs of each individual client, our Team capitalizes on the use of standardized assessments to identify strengths, deficits and areas of importance. These assessments include but are not limited to the VB-MAPP, Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scales, and other tools to evaluate skills, highlight strengths, and identify areas of growth.
By working together with the families of the children we serve, our organization can provide opportunities for our clients to generalize learned practices outside of ABA sessions. This will not only promote independence for the client, but will decrease challenges for the family as well. We meet regularly with parents, caregivers, educators, and special service providers (e.g., Speech and Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, etc.) to ensure continuity across all areas of the child's life. Consistency is key!
