Connections ABA of Massachusetts is a proud provider of home-based Applied Behavior Analysis services for individuals with Autism.
At Connections ABA of Massachusetts, our goal is to connect our clients with the tools they need for creating happy, productive, and safe lives. To do this, we deliver high quality, evidence based, Applied Behavior Analytic services that focus on the promotion of skill development and the reduction of interfering behaviors through personalized programming, parent collaboration, and standardized assessment.
We work directly with families to identify specific, socially significant objectives to maximize each client's unique profile. Programming can include improving self-advocacy and social communication, expressive and receptive vocabulary, following instructions and daily routines, visual perceptual skills, independence, and functional play skills, Moreover, we develop protocols for reducing ritualized, unsafe, stereotypical or otherwise problematic behaviors. Our clients and their families will feel empowered, confident, and prepared to embrace challenges within their homes, in the community, and at school.
The flexibility of our service delivery options, either virtually or in person, allows families to maximize access while minimizing stress. Services are designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts and delivered by Registered Behavior Technicians, who have ample training in how to address each child’s unique needs using reinforcement strategies and least-restrictive prompting, but never punishment. Most importantly, we seek to provide services that embed compassion, structure, and a lot of fun!
Individuals with Autism are able to receive ABA Therapy services within the comfort of their own home. Home-based sessions provide opportunities to learn and apply skills in the natural environment under the supervision of BCBAs and RBTs. Plans and goals are designed to meet each individual’s unique needs. In-home programming focuses on social communication, self-regulation, daily living skills, play/leisure, and familial relationships. Services may also include working with the child and his or her siblings to develop a strong family dynamic.
In order for ABA services to be effective, they must be implemented with consistency across all contexts. Therefore, our team is committed to spending time working not only with the individual, but also with his or her caregivers, parents, and other members of the community to provide education about the unique treatment plan designed for that person.
To best understand the needs of each individual client, our Team capitalizes on the use of standardized assessments to identify strengths, deficits and areas of importance. These assessments include but are not limited to the VB-MAPP, Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scales, and other tools to evaluate skills, highlight strengths, and identify areas of growth.
